Baby Prams
Buying a baby pram or pushchair used to be fairly straightforward but now there is a bewildering array of things to consider.
Today's pushchairs are so much more than buggies. They can transform from pushchairs into prams and back again. They can have detachable carrycots or attachments for car seats, meaning that your baby's precious sleep is not disturbed when moving between house, car and pushchair. Your baby can sit facing you or away from you, sitting up lying down or anything inbetween.
Once upon a time a pushchair did little more than go to the shops or the park. Some of today's pushchairs are designed to go off road, with large wheels capable of handling rough terrain. Tyres can be pneumatic or foam filled. Wheels come in various configurations with three-wheeled models being popular. Some baby pushchairs are even designed so that you can take them out jogging.
With so many options you need to spend some time working out exactly what you need from your pushchair. What roles will it fulfill? Where do you expect to take it? Do you need a carrycot, and if so, perhaps the one which might come with a pushchair might be all you need. Is portability important? Must it fold easily? Is weight important? You might be lucky and find one baby pram which meets all your needs but like many people nowadays you may find that you need more than one. This site aims to help remove some of the mystery from choosing and buying your baby pram.
